  • How to setup a conform workflow working with editor.

The project is mixed by Alexa/Film scan/5D/VFX, all of them are hundreds of shots.
I installed Resolve Lite on editor’s Mac, and asked the assistant editor to do a rough conform on his Mac. Because they didn’t use any timecode information for 5D and VFX shots. And as they did the Alexa meterial pullback from LTO4 on their Mac.
He finished the rough conform, and copy all the materials to me, with the projects exported.
So, in my Resolve, the directory structure for media files must be different from his Resolve Lite. Media files from different sources scattered allover his 3 raid volumes, and I put them under on directory on my Mac. (But some structures remain the same, as I just move the top level directory into on folder)
Now I need suggestion that is there anything I can do, to import the projects with all the conform job done as on editor’s Resolve Lite?

I know that you can right click on each clip (in the conform page, I think) and there is tool to change that clips parent directory. This does allow you to relink the media to your drives folders. I don’t know exactly how to do this globally such that you don’t have to reset each clip in the edl to the media but there must be a way to do that.

Thank you, and that tip really helps. One step further, just select multiple shots, and re-assign the parent directory. Everything’s fine.

    Cheers
