How to select GPU to render with?
I have two GPU:s in my computer, one GTX 670 and one GTX 460. How do I tell Sony Vegas Pro 12 to use my GTX 460 to render with?
- When I have both GPU:s installed in my system Sony Vegas always uses the GTX 670 (Wich is worthless for rendering)
- When I only have the GTX 460 installed in the system Vegas Pro will use that card for rendering and it only takes 1/3 of the rendering time it usually takes.

Vegas Pro doesn’t specifically support two GPU’s so I’m assuming the software makes a CUDA call and the GPU that answers it is the one it uses. I’m further guessing that it’s using the Primary graphics card by default. Perhaps there is some way in Windows to tell it that your other graphics car is the primary card. This is just a guess but worth a try.

Your only option is to go into the Device Manager and disable the card you don’t want to ‘use’.
