  • How to ripple with a transition?

Posted by Sum Choi on January 4, 2013 at 12:59 am

When there is a transition and I want to ripple, it the trim tool often becomes a roll tool or it ends up adjusting the duration for the transition itself. In the end, I often have to delete the transition first and then do the ripple edit.

Is there a way I can do this without having to delete the transition first?

    Thanks

Have you tried the Precision Editor? Double-click on the transition.

Access to ripple is on the upper outside edge of the transition. You may need to zoom in to see the ripple tool.

Thanks guys. Precision tool works for most of the situations. Zoom also works but generally, I don’t like zooming in and out of things that much.
