  • How To Reveal Unseen Layers in a Comp

Posted by Lillian Young on August 5, 2009 at 12:02 pm

I need to resize an entire comp. I read that resizing the null will achieve this task.

I see that the layers are linked to null shapes, but I do not see those layers in the comp.

For instance, I see 10 layers, but the null shape is on the 12th layer. How do I reveal unseen layers?

    Thanks in advance.

Sounds to me as if some layers have been made SHY,

There is a global shy button along the top of the timeline area. Where mothion blur, frame blending and some other features can be switched on/off globally. You will most likely just need to unselect the shy layers button to reveal the \”missing\” layers.

    Hope that helps you out

Glad you got to the end of it in the end.

People often SHY Layers when they have scripts controlling those elements so someone does not mess with things ie you lock the layer and shy it from view. or as you have found to hide elements (or tidy up your timeline)
