How to retrieve index of the effect?

Do you mean retrieve it with an expression applied to that effect? If so, yes – but it can be a bit tricky. Use propertyGroup() to move up through the property groups until you get to the effect itself.

For example, to get the Numbers effect to display it’s own effect index you could use this expression:

thisProperty.propertyGroup(1).propertyIndex

propertyGroup(1) moves up one level from the propety the expression lives in, propertyGroup(2) moves up two levels, and so on. Hope that helps.
