    Hi Guys,

I’ve been looking to recreate this effect https://www.gametrailers.com/player/41960.html

I’ve created a new comp + new solid, added particular to this using my logo (3rd layer with 3d on) as the emitter.

The problem is I can’t seem to recreate whatever wind/turbulence settings they’ve used – if that is what they’ve used.

Any help would be on this would be great!

    Cheers

Oh I should mention that I’ve tried using a motion path on the Air but that doesn’t seem to work either 🙁

I don’t have AE in front of me at the moment, but did you try CC Particle World instead of particular? It has some animation presets like twirly and vortex that might work.

    CS3, FCS2
[Note: Using Particular, 3-D Stroke, and now Form do not instantly make your designs “teh awesome.”]

    Thanks for your speedy reply!

Yeah,I did try this but the reason I wanted to recreate it with particular is because of more particle type options.

I was thinking that maybe by making two null objects, I could parent one to the other, and then move the child null out a few hundred pixels. Then spin the parent null, which will then spin the child. However I believe I would need an expression to tie the particular emitter position to the child null, and my knowledge of expressions is very limitd, plus if I select a emitter type to layer (my logo) this turns off the x,y position. 🙁
