How to realise these effects please ?
Hi all!
First sorry for my bad english …
I need your help, i would like to realize 2 effetcs. I saw the trailer on dj volcano , and i really love the effect of background (sort of caustics, movements, colors ..) .. after effect is dificult and i would like help please, do you know how to realize this effect ?
Then, how to realize the flames around the letters ? I found a lot of tutorials about this, but this effect on the trailer is very realistic, very nice!

Maxine, I was just cruising by this post, my After Effects is a little rusty… But the moving light texture seems to be an abstracted example of ‘Caustics’. The light behind the letters shining over and past them is an example of ‘volumetric lighting’. Search for these two terms in After Effects tutorials both here at the Cow and on-line in general and you might find at least some of what you need.
