  • How to put video into text?

Hey all, I’m using AE 6.0, and I currently have text on top of a video. I would also like to put a different video, but just inside the text. How can I do this? Thanks for your help.

Make a solid layer and add the basic text effect to it. Change the colour of the text to white. Put it above both of your videos in the comp.
Put the video that you want to appear as text inbetween the solid layer and the main video. Make sure you’re in the ‘mode’ tab (click ‘Switches / modes’ to change between ‘switches’ and ‘modes’) and click in the ‘track matte’ drop-down list (it should say ‘none’) and change it to either Alpha matte or Luma matte.
