  • How to place wav with timestamp at correct location?

I am going to receive several wav files and need to place them at the correct position in a project.

The guy who prepares the audio is a avid user.
He said the .wav files will have a timestamp in the header which allows me to place them at exactly the right position automatically. He said the editing package -in this case Premiere- will be to read that header and place the wav at the correct position.

I honestly didn’t know that wav format supports this and I couldn’t find info about it for premiere…. (I actually found some bits about this in an Avid audio forum – maybe it’s an “exclusive” feature?)

Can someone please tell me how to place the audio at the correct location with this header info in premiere… Thank you.
