    Hello everyone,

I’m editing a feature film which was shot on the Alexa Mini at 2.8k 4:3 (OG 3.4K). When I load the file onto DaVinci, it automatically gives me the 4:3 resolution, but I would like to see the OG image so I can reframe to hide a boom shadow. I have heard that ARRIRAW CONVERTER has that capability but it would be much easier for my workflow if I could do it on DaVinci.

    Thank you so much!
    N.

    UPDATE:

I have found the solution — in Project Settings, Camera RAW, select “Import Open Gate”.

I think it’s very wise for the camera crew to shoot an actual framing chart on set so that you know exactly what was seen in the viewfinder and on the on-set display by the DP and director.
