    Hi there-

I use the direct selection tool to move the points of a path. This is great when I am editing the shape of a path, but say I just want to edit the location of a point on a path without distorting the path. Is there a way to do this? It would be like sliding the point along the path, which I guess would result in Illustrator recalculating the Bezier handles.

    Any suggestions?

I don’t think it’s possible in Illustrator, but what are you intending to do? Perhaps can be achieved in a different way.
