How to modify settings when exporting from Premiere with DV25 NTSC ?
I am new to Adobe Premiere Pro and I guess I am fairing ok, at least up until I get to the export panel (@#$%^) !!!
For my first exports I just used the first automatically preset settings (i.e Quicktime, NTSC DV, etc.) that were in the panel and that was more or less ok. But then I found that there was a problem with these videos being warped into another aspect ratio in certain media players (VLC, older versions of Quicktime). When I posted this problem on COW I was given some very helpful advice by another member about exporting with square pixels and adapted measurements (856×480) and that solved that problem. The only draw back that I have found is that when I do this I cant use the NTSC codec (the original video is shot in NTSC) in the Quicktime format because that codec doesn’t allow you to adjust many of the settings, including the size which is essential for my video to have proper aspect ratio in different players.
The reason that I am interested in using the NTSC codec is because quite frankly it seems to give the best quality for the size and for the quality, it exports much quicker than the other options I’ve tried.
So my questions are this, 1) is there any way that I can use the NTSC codec in Quicktime and still be able to manually adjust the width x height and the pixel aspect ratio? 2) PLEASE TELL ME THERE IS A WAY TO DEINTERLACE !!! 3) If the above two aren’t possible, what else can someone recommend? I am very inexperienced, so its possible that there are many viable alternatives that are equal and even better, but I haven’t been able to figure them out…
Thanks in advance,
