  • How to make ‘sing along’ subtitles?

I’m fairly new to Premiere, and I need to make lyrics for a video that people can sing along to. I used to do this on Vegas by having two layers of text, and moving a mask on the top, coloured layer. Here’s a 6 second example of the type of thing that I want.

I’ve already worked out things like text, so it’s just the masking that I’m struggling with. Thanks.

Just realised that I should probably mention that I’m using Adobe Premiere CS6.

Make two layers, use the crop effect on the yellow layer.
