    Hi,

I am struggling to make animation of a rope wrapping around drum of the winch, so cylinder (drum) will rotate and it will wrap the rope around cylinder.

    How to do it?

There are several ways you could approach this. Some would be better for your situation depending on what, exactly it is you need to happen.

How long of a shot is it and what, exactly, does the viewer need to see? I ask because, while C4D does have spline dynamics and you could sim this happening for real, it would be faster to fake it if you could get away with it.

One way to fake it would be to have two ropes. One straight and the other a helix wrapped around your drum. You could reveal the helix appearing to get longer (by either making the helix actually longer or by offsetting a cylinder on a spline wrap deformer) on the drum while the texture on the straight piece animates to look like it’s moving up onto the drum. This would work even better if the winching mechanism could have a crossbar or something that visually obscures the transition point (depending on how photo-real this rope needs to be and how visible texture detail is).

I wanna it exactly like this: https://youtu.be/2_Mlk2jDUok but I will use rope geometry instead of spline.
