    Hello there,

I looked for some tutorials on the web and couldn’t find any.
I need to add a girl’s clone to the composite and then make her disappearing by dream waves. Like she’s dreaming about something. Then I have to get back to her after like 30 seconds.
I really tried to find a tutorial for making these waves but I got nothing.
Also I searched the forum and found talking about Displacement Maps or Fracial Noise effect but I couldn’t understand how to do that, for I’m pretty new to AE.
So, if anyone can explain it to me step-by-step or even give a link to a video that demonstrates it, I would appreciate it. It’s really urgent.

    Regards. Thanks a lot.

You’re in luck! There is a series of tutorials here on the COW for displacement mapping in AE.

    Part one: The Basics
    Part two: Avoiding the pitfalls
    Part three: Text and Time

To get a second image of the girl you will either need to film her on a chromakey screen or resort to rotoscoping. Each solution has its own separate list of issues.
