How to make an object follow and interact with a path shape
Posted by Fabricio Araujo on February 13, 2009 at 3:58 amI have a thin and long object and I wanna make it follow a determinated 3d path.
The final result is make this object move like a snake, moving and bending according the path.Is there a solution for this or I will have to make it manually???
Thanks.

February 14, 2009 at 11:07 pmThank you very much for youe attention, Viacheslav but is not exactly the result I was looking for.
I cant create segments for the effect.
I need to bend a thin and long image several times to create the effect I want.
The moving is softer but I need to do it in the tree axis.To explain it better is just imagine a camera in the back of a snake following it movement… up, down, left, right and foward.
I hope Id been good enough in this explanation.
Hope you can help me!!!
Thank you very much indeed!

February 15, 2009 at 11:02 pmIf you want real 3D distortion/bending etc.applied to picture/video then you probably need something like Zaxwerks 3D Layer Warp or Forge Freeform (plug-ins for AE) or Boris Blue (standalone program/plug-in). May be Trapcode Form but I`m not sure if it can do what you want.
On Alan Shisko`s blog you`ll find pretty good tutorial about Zaxwerks 3D Layer Warp, just search it.
Good luck! -
