    Hi
I need to create a simple keyline house with a chimney that turns 360 then opens out in to a floor plan. I would prefer to do this in after effects and either output as flash or at worst have to retrace it in flash. I don’t know flash.Hope you can help.

I recently did something similiar, I created a living room environment in AE then imported into Flash to create interactivity to allow you to move around in it. I still have the ‘rough draft’ posted (www.thecolleyfamily.com)if you want to take a look. I created this entirely in PS, AE and Flash

Here are a few basic steps you would need to take to get started

Create your 4 sides of your house, your roof, chimney and your floor plan in a photo editor (photoshop). save each of these pieces as seperate files.

Import these all into AE and turn on your 3d button in the timelines for each file.

Assemble the pieces in 3d space to make your house, maikng your floor plan the floor of the house, which of course will not be seen until you drop the walls ( This piece will be the hardest part and take the most time unless you are good at 3d environment in AE )

Add a new camera to your comp and keyframe your camera to rotate around your house and then keyframe your 4 “walls” to fall down or dissapear.

Once your walls fall, then keyframe your camera to look down on the floor to see the floor plan.

Render this… then import video into Flash and publish…

Now if you want to make this interactive where the customer can move around the house and drop the walls on their whim… then you will need to render multiple movies for each movement and then assemble them in the flash timeline and assign action scripting to allow the user to move the camera (similar to mine).

I hope this helps get your started… let me know if you have more questions 🙂
