Anyone know any good tutorials on how to design and save a plug-in?
Particularly saving color presets and also breaking audio apart into key frames —

A tutorial about plugin coding? You can’t be serious! I doubt that anyone would be willing to share his knowledge about AE’s SDK beyond explaining a few basics. After all, that’s why companies make money from selling plugins. If it were that simple, the would be out of business.

If you are a seasoned C++ code writer, then download teh AE SDK from Adobe.

However for saving color presets you don’t need plug-ins just use the good ol animation presets. These save sets of filters, with their settings and keyframes in one file so it can be re-used. Very powerful.

And for audio to keyframes try trapcodes “soundkeys”

thanks — i have soundkeys and i know how to use it, i just wanted to try something different. maybe write my own stuff, figure it can’t possibly be that hard, and I have a C++ background, it’ll be a little rusty but it could be pretty cool —-

If you search for this on the adobe forums then you should find an email for one of the AE developers who helps people out with the SDK. I think his username is brooce..
