    Hello
Im trying to make a straight line in PI SE and the only way I know is to
make 2000 number of emitters, is there a better way?

I need the line to appear in steps I mean – — — —- etc
not all at once so I can’t bring it as a texture.

I’m not sure what you mean by “make 2000 number of emitters”. Do you mean set the emitter “number” property to 2000? I’m also not sure what you mean by “line”. Do you want the particles to create a line as they move, or do you want a line of non-moving particles? If non-moving, just make a line emitter.

Yes, I meant I set the emitter “number” property to 2000.

Here is an example of the emitter

but Im asking if there is a better way of doing this?

How about this? I didn’t have to set “number” as high as you did.

Thank you for the respond but that’s not what Im looking for.
Your emitter is creating a line from the point emitter (the yellow dot).
Im looking for an emitter that will make the line as a trail, plus without the
fade in and out in the emitter.
