AE 6.5pro. The clients deadline is yesterday.

My client wants a suspenseful Time Tunnel effect where the camera fly’s past various objects “into” the future. I’ve set it up in 3D, but its too clean and hard, even with depth of field.

I would like add atmospheric fog or haze (or smoke) to it so the objects emerge out of the distance.

Is there a way to make 3D smoke that you can fly through – hopefully something that allows objects to emerge as they come closer?

    Thanks in Advance

Nope, not really. You could try Buena Software’s Depth Cue, but I’m not really sure if it will do what you need without re-creating your project from scratch (it requires rather large scenes to see any of its depth effects). Other than that you could try some expressions to make your objects fade in based on their distance to the camera – still not perfect, but better than nothing.
