  • How to Log and Tranfer files from Panasonic AG-HMC82EN camera in CS5 Premiere Pro & FCP

Hi…I have Panasonic AG-HMC82EN camera which makes avi file format while recording on normal SD card. When I shoot interviews for about 1 hour or so, it splits the files into 20mins each (4.28GB approximately). I want to know is there a way to combine all the splited files as a single file through log and transfer in Premiere and in Final Cut Pro. Individual files are a headache to keep the track. So please help.
I am using log and transfer succesfully on FCP for canon mark 2 camera and for Sony EX3 camera. Would like to know if I could do the same for this Panasonic Camera.

Copy the cards to your hard drive, keep the directories intact and do not modify them, and then use Premiere’s own media browser to import the footage.

Hi Tero, thanks for the reply… I tried as you said. But for some reason it imports the files individually. I have recorded 60mins of footage and it split that single file to 3 files 20mins each. Now I when I want to import it I want it to make it as a single file. Like we are able to do in FCP. Is it possible to do that? If yes then can you elaborate it a bit more.
    Thanks Brother…
