When you import a tiff, you can click options to select the import length. What if I put the tiff in the timeline and want to extend the image longer than the imported length?

so if i import it as 10 frames and put it in the timeline, but want to extend it to 20 frames, without duplicating it, how would i do that?

The master clip will only be as long as you make it when you import it. If you set the import length to 10 seconds, and now you want the clip to be 20 seconds long, you have to edit it in your timeline twice.

    good luck,

you may be able delete the media for that file and batch import it with different settigns. Click on the file you want to batch import and click on Clip menu drag down to batch import. Change your imports settings appropriately to import the graphic with a longer duration.

You probably should cut it into the sequence multiple times if you are concerned about hard drive space. A graphic imported with a duration of 10 seconds and laid into a sequence 2 times takes up half as much hard drive space as a single graphic imported with a duration of 20 seconds.

    It’s all personal preference
