  how to keep new default audio transition lengths?

  I know how to change my default audio transition length from 1:00 to the :02 frames I want but how to make FCP 7.0.3 KEEP that new default for me when I reopen the project file? It always goes back to the default of 1:00? And how to make it appear as well when I right click on a transition?
