  • How to install CS3 on F Drive

Posted by Randy Mcwilson on April 7, 2008 at 11:46 pm

My C drive crashed, and when I restored it, it has now been assigned as F by windows, and it runs no problem. But, when I try to reinstall CS3 I get an error related to it not being on C.

any help would be appreciated. I have tried every simple and not so simple method of getting the F to a C drive (you cant do this in disk management module–you cant change the boot disk from any letter, only other drives)

    Thanks

Honestly, I would do a clean install instead of a restore, but I do have CS3 on a D drive, so it should work. Have you uninstalled everything, then reinstalled ?

You can also try to change the drive name to C:

Right click My Computer – Manage – Disk Management – Click on the drive and then – Change Drive Letter.
