do mean that the audio file should not be an .aiff in order to be imported into avid xpress dv??

then, what should i do to get a WAV out of the .aiff?

    (thank you so much)

You could download “Audacity” here https://audacity.sourceforge.net/ (what I use) or other free sound editor and convert your audio file to “.wav” format and import…

    It worked out.
    thank you so much.
i hope i won’t have any problem when exporting the sequence… i don’t know how i’ve done it in the past, but surely not this way…
again, thanks for your time and interest.
