  • How to import an After Effects CC composition into Premiere CC?

Posted by Victor Lin on July 22, 2014 at 1:48 pm

I made a composition of an opening sequence in After Effects CC. I’d really prefer not to export it as a video file just to import into Premiere.

Is there a way in Premiere CC to create a dynamic link to an After Effects CC composition?

I do NOT want to send Premiere stuff to After Effects. Rather, I want to import After Effects stuff into Premiere.

    EDIT:

Bah, I had AE CS6, not CC. I couldn’t even drag my AE composition from the AE Project Panel to the Premiere Project Panel.

Will see if using CC will fix this.

Dynamic link only works among apps of the same generation. You cannot DL from Ae CS6 to Pr CC, but you can DL from Ae CS6 to Pr CS6, Ae CC to Pr CC, and Ae CC 2014 to Pr CC 2014.
