How to I create a still image action sequence with video?
I am wondering how to create a still image action sequence with premiere? Such as this…

Where the video ‘leaves’ behind a still of the action in the scene. Does anyone know how i can acheive this in video? Not to create a still sequence like that image, but to do that in moving video, so only the action in the video is left as a still not the rest of the background. Any ideas how?

At some point you make a copy of the clip and use a garbage matte to isolate the action figure. Then you do it again a little farther along. It is tedious work but it can be done.

the old ADO units had a trails feature, which on a static shot would provide a similar effect (watch old music videos from the 70’s on VH1). I know Graffiti has a trails effect.
