  • How to give an effect to a voice as if it’s on the other side of a phonecall…

I wanted to ask if anyone knows any settings or effects that can be applied to a voice of someone speaking, so it would sound like they are on the other end of a phone call. (Like in the movies, when you see someone on the phone, but you hear the other speaker as if your listening in the phone receiver)

    Thank you!

You pretty much just cut out all the bass and treble with an EQ.

    (PremPro2, WinXP P4, 3.2GHZ, 2GB RAM, 500GB RAID-0, DV/HDV)

I did a short film the other day, and I actualy recorded a real conversation among my talents with the hand set placed close to the Camera’s mic, taped to a Desktop stand .( To avoid the variations in the volume )and imported audio only into premiere pro 2, worked great and sounds real ( You can never beat the authentic sound with post production tools????? I think !!!!!!. )

    have fun.

Nice work. I think I’ll do that too. I’ll call myself and record the phone call with a mic. 🙂
