How to get the Layer Mask “effect” from Phothsop into After Effects
Hi All,
I have a question. I really like this effect in photoshop. That subtle and having a lot of control on layering and opacity.
Is there a way to get that in After Effects?
I added a video (Not mine!) to show what I mean.

You can use an effect like Set Matte or Set Channels if the layer sizes are the same.
You can use Track Mattes no matter what size the layers are.

And then an adjustment layer? Or wouldn’t that be necessary?

There is no need for an adjustment layer when you’re just trying to mask layers.
