  • How to get rid of Boris FX?

I just got a trial version for Boris FX (for Sony Vegas) and it wasn’t actually what I thought it would be & I don’t need any of the effects, so can somebody tell me how I can uninstall it? It’s really frustrating because there’s too many things in the Video FX and Transitions list and it’s probably taking up a lot of space on my PC.

I can’t find it in the Add or Remove Programs list, by the way.

    Hi,

I’m sorry to hear that you didn’t find the effects useful – thanks for trying them though.

You didn’t mention exactly which Boris FX product you had installed into Sony Vegas but if it was Boris Continuum Complete (BCC) then you can remove it using the Add / Remove programs function. It appears in the Add or Remove Programs list as BCC 7 OFX – select it and you should be able to remove this safely from your system.

    Cheers,

    Peter.

A complete install of Boris Continuum Complete 7 for Sony Vegas Pro will appear with this name in Add/remove programs:
    BCC 7 OFX 64Bit
    or
    BCC 7 OFX 32Bit

The location of the plugins is either
    C:\Program Files\Common Files\OFX\Plugins
    or
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\OFX\Plugins
and removing the 2 BCC .bundle folders there will surely make the plugins render no longer.

Since others have already told you how to uninstall, may I ask:

What did you expect it to be?

What exactly are you looking for?

Perhaps another Boris product might be more appropriate for your needs.
