  • how to get quicktime plugin to render quicktime

Posted by Bryan Wells on June 23, 2005 at 12:57 am

    Hello

I set up a new computer and went back to my orginal binary installation of Vegas 5. But I cant render Quicktime. Where is the Quicktime plugin for rendering? Apple wants to sell me a quicktime pro but i thought on my older computer, the quicktime I have there was not paid extra for.

    Thanks
    Bryan

Make sure you do the “full” install (all authoring components) instead of the automatic way.

You don’t need the “pro” version. You just need to do as Mike said:

Start the installation process. At the screen where you can choose standard or custom (whatever the options are) choose Custom. You will then be presented with a list of additional items that can be installed. Just pick them all (the safest way) specifically making sure the authoring components are chosen.

Assuming you mean Vegas Pro, which version do you have?
There were issues with QuickTime in earlier ones that have been resolved with 9.0e

    Thanks Russ.
Now, which version do you have?
As I said, there were QuickTime issues with earlier versions that did get corrected.
