how to get noise tv (the displacement lines)
Hello everybody!!!!
First excuse my english cause its not my mother lenguaje.
I would like to achieve the effect of tv noise. Not the normal one with scratch and dust.
I mean, you can see the image, then for a second not so good (with stripes, that i can get with Shappire plugin), but am looking for the displacement.
For example the half bottom part a bit to the left with a deformation…..

Should i use displacement map?

Of course you could use a displacement map. Simply draw your gradient and assign at as a displacement map.
Better, keyframe a distortion effect (maybe liquify) for a frame and then bring it back to its original the next frame.
If you’re looking for a plug-in, DigiEffects Delirium as an effect called “Video Malfunction” that does exactly what you’re looking for.
You might want to search in the COW’s Archives too.
