How to get cs5.5 to use 12 gigs of Ram.
I have just installed the new Cs5.5 suite and 12 gigs of ram. I when into AE and made sure it is using 10 gigs. Next i turned on Activity Monitor and looked at ram usage… it only goes up to about 3 gigs of usage when i do a ram preview. Can some one tell me what I’m doing wrong or if there is something I’m missing.

Well, depending on your project, perhaps 10GB RAM isn’t required to RAM preview it. Just because you have 12 gigs doesn’t mean it’s going to use it all the time for every project.
Do you have multi-processing enabled? What are your computer specs?
