  • How to fix the aspect ratio, after the edit.

This one is embarrassing; but I had to edit footage in 4:3 aspect ratio. Normally FCP will ask me if I want to change the sequence settings to match the clip settings this time it did not. Because I knew it was 4:3 footage I changed the sequence settings myself to 4:3 but forgetting to change the pixel aspect ratio in one of the HD choices. Everything looked fine until after I compressed it and brought it into DVD Studio Pro. The picture looked fine except it had two black bars in the left and right side.

I have tried making new timelines in the project and pasting the edited timeline only to get a vertically squeezed 4:3.

Is there any way I can get this footage to look full 4:3?
