  • How to fix a broken connection between FCPX database and media?

This is an odd one. I imported three clips from an Inspire UAV. All good so far. Cut short video and and go to share and can’t share because the menu is grayed out. Clip 1 of the import which seemed fine and is used in the cut now has the triangular warning sign. Ok So dig around some more. The media is in the library if I check with reveal packge contents but some how FCPX doesn’t think its there. I delete the clip from the browser- move to trash – and reimport. Same result Media is in Library but in the event browser the clip is missing .
I can’t re-link because when I do thatno clips show as missing in the re- link window..

A bit more digging revealed that the Micro SD media card from the UAV has some issues when I checked it with disk utility, which might have been the root cause of all this .

So my question is how do I get FCPX to forget about this clip and actually let me re import the clip into the Library in a way that the imedia is actually present in the library and the database thinks its there too?
