    hi!

I created an camera animation with the new camera crane feature in C4D 15. Now I wanted to import the camera Movement to AFX.

If i use extract function in CINEWARE (afx) the camera is imported. but there is no movement and no keyframes. i tried to use the constaint tag in cinema on another camera. than I baked this camera and imported it to after effects like shown in this video (https://vimeo.com/41427560). now there are some keyframes but not all movements are imported correctly. 🙁

isn’t there a simple and working way to import a camera crane movement to AFX?

    Thanks a lot everybody!

    YEs! I just found it.
Ran into the same problem with camera crane tag and Cineware …(also on delay effectors) ….My solution was to save the whole scene to Alembic (export), Then open it back up; copy the camera from there, bring it back into your original c4d project scene, save…and boom there it is in After effects…

UPDATE: but, in order to “extract” the camera, you’ll want to create a new camera as a child of the Alembic imported one.

    Saved my butt.
Hope it helps you and many others.
