How to export WMV and retain same size and settings
I have a 10MB WMV file imported into Premiere CS6.
I need to edit parts of it obviously, but before that I’m just experimenting exporting. So no changes in length have been made.
When I come to export it, with the same settings the estimated file size is a whopping 231 MB!

I have been told that Premiere doesn’t play well with WMV, but the person I’m doing this for wants to keep the file size similar to what it originally was.
Are there any other settings I can look at or should be looking at?

The biggest factor affecting file size is the data rate. Check the rate of your source, and I’ll bet it’s a lot lower than your proposed export rate.

Is there any way to check its data rate in Premiere?
Even with the data rate turned all the way down, it still gives me 64mb.

Not familiar with a way inside Premiere. I always use MediaInfo, a free utility.
