How to export VR-180 video to 3d TV
Hi guys,
I have a VR-180 camera (VUZE XR) which captures stereoscopic video on 180×180 hemisphere (half sphere). I managed to edit it’s footage and export for VR headset (Samsung Gear-VR), and it looks great.
However, now I want to export the same video to TV that supports 3D (using active 3d-glasses). The advantage of TV is that I can show the video to several friends and family members together (I have 4 pairs of 3d-glasses) instead of a single friend (VR headsets are much expensive, and I have only one).
The question is how to export from premiere in a way that would look fine on TV (or any other flat screen) like on 3d cinemas. When exporting like I do for the VR headset I get an Equirectangular view that looks bad on TV… I need somehow to change the projection and probably also use only part of the hemisphere to avoid the Equirectangular distortion near the edges. It should be something similar to the view I see when I click the “Toggle VR Video Display” on the Program Monitor toolbar.
Does anyone knows how to do that?
Thanks,
Koby
