  • How to export mp3 from prem 7 pro?

Posted by Daniel Connell on April 16, 2005 at 4:46 am

I’ve tried downloading every codec pack and addon I can find, but I just get mp3 to show up as an export option in Premiere.

    Is it even possible?

    thanks

    Daniel.

You cannot export an MP3 file from PPRO. Export the file as a WAV file and use a third-party program to covert the wave file.

Also, downloading codec packs is not good for PPRO. You will run into a problem, eventually.

Ah, ok. Thanks. What would be a good package to use for the conversion? I had a look around but couldn’t get anything to work well enough.

I use the https://www.musicmatch.com software, but I think Media Player can do it also.

Look for Razorlame. It uses the LAME encoder which is very good. Don’t have a link, but you should be able to find it easily. Many people swear by it.

Thanks for the feedback. I’ve ended up going with Sorenson’s Squeeze, which is very very nice.
