Depending on how thick the rope is you may be able to use
CC SIMPLE WIRE REMOVAL which is under your KEYING option.

Its a pretty handy effect, but again its frame by frame.

If you aren’t comfortable using the clone/stamp tool, output a .film file, and use photoshop to stamp it out of each frame.

there may be an easier way, depending on whats in the shot.

w/o seeign the shot its impossible to tell, but if you have enough frames to come up with a clean plate, stabilize the shot, use some masks to roto the rope, it would be much better than trying to paint it out frame by frame… but i w/o seeing the shot its impossible to tell

Actully the easiest way would be to motion track the rope and then use CC Simple Wire Removel Tool. Hard to tell without seeing the shot.
    Good Luck!

If the rope is perfectly straight (which it most likely is not, but I thought I’d mention this for people who face situations where it could be) you can motion track both ends of the rope and use that data for the CC Wire Removal. Speeds things up a bit, but it’ll probably still need tweaking by hand =)

The Cycore “CC simple wire removal” plugin is easier than the cloner tool. It has a start and end point to the line and variables and sliders for how many pixels to remove and blend.
