  • How to endlessly roundtrip between Premiere and Resolve

I have been reading articles that describe a 2 stop roundtrip procedure between Premiere and Resolve
    1) edit (premiere)
    2) grade (resolve)/export
    3) finish (Premiere)

This is a no way to happen scenario as 99.9% someone will reconcider the edit and

    4) reedit (using the same and even new clips in the edit)

    and here comes my question…..
    5) reimport the newly edited XML from Premiere to Resolve

How can you relink the already graded clips from your 1st edit so that you don’t start to grade from scratch or even copy paste grades between nodes?
Suppose that you haven;t in advance imported all you materials to Resolve (Dailies style) and export the first XML from there…

Generally, that is what the ColorTrace function is for.
