  • How to embed some videos in sides of this 3D logo?

Posted by Matthew Sonberg on December 7, 2014 at 4:49 am

I was hoping to work some video clips into this video I created using Element. I’d ideally like the videos to be almost embedded into the walls of the logo as the camera dollies through. I’m just not sure how I can place the videos so that I don’t need to animate anything but the camera.

Does this make sense? Sorry if I’m not being clear enough

If you want the videos to be “projected” on the logo “walls”, then you need to create a animated texture:

So I guess I need to create a model of my logo in another program like blender? or maya?

Maybe it’s easier to ask this way….

I’d like to create an intro like the Batman movie from 1989. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Puu_vm3Jcz4

From there I want to “embed” some highlight clips into the walls of the logo I’ve extruded using element. All I did though to create the element layer was copy the paths in from the Illustrator file and paste them to the layers I used for Element in AE.

Building the logo in C4D for example will enable you to assign textures to it and thus to use the techniques in the tutorial I pointed you to.
