I’m outputting a whole lot of PNG seq’s where I need to render a layer based on it’s trims.

I found rd_render layer script which is perfect, but for some reason it commonly outputs a blank first frame.
There’s another script “RD_precompose” which nicely precomps and trims all selected layers which can then be added to render queue. A good second choice.

Catch is, if I duplicate the stack so that I can maintain a version with the original names I have to manually rename all to clean up the titles.

How would I duplicate a layer and keep the name? I know a script is the option but have never coded.

    Thanks

It’s not exactly what you are looking for, but I use Chris Green’s awesome Queue_Comp_Sections script. If it’s useful to you, please consider sending a few bucks his way.

Thanks a lot. I think this could work and replace my efforts to use “render layer”. Will donate if it does the trick
