  • How to drag objects w/out deviating?

    Hey all,

Was just wondering how to click and drag objects and keyframes w/out it deviating off the axis you’re on. In Final Cut Pro, this was accomplished by holding ‘shift’ while dragging something.

For example, if I want to move the frame around after enabling the ‘motion’ function, what if I want to ONLY move the image vertically, without even the slightest change horizontally? (extremely hard to do without the function I’m looking for). I know this can be done with the position sliders in the effects control panel, but is there a way to do this just by clicking and dragging?

Or, when I have a keyframe and I want to drag said keyframe to the left or right without altering the levels at all (no deviation vertically), this is EXTREMELY hard to do without this function even with a steady hand.

I’m almost positive this function exists in CS6, I just haven’t learned it yet. Any suggestions?
