    Hello everybody,

I wonder if and how it’s possible to create this effect in AE :
(from 2.17 to 2.35 in this video) https://vimeo.com/25960847

Do you know which plugin would be useful for such an effect? I’d like to create this kind of effect, being able to choose triangles’ size & randomness, and to make it evolve a bit like it does at the beginning of it in the video (with small waves, no color changes, no music interactions).

I’d really be thankful if you could help me.

You could probably do it in Trapcode Form. Make a triangle in a 2D layer and use that as your particle.

    Thanks Bill for your answer,

as you can see in the video, every triangle has 2 points in common with his neighbours, making them linked. Do you think that trapcode form has this feature ? I know a bit about trapcode and particles but I dont know if I can reach this level if this kind of parameter doesnt already exist.
I’ll have a look. If anybody has another plugin or way to do that effect to suggest, I’ll hear to it carefully 🙂

    Regards.

This sort of effect can be done fairly easily in Cinema 4D or another 3D application, but not so much in After Effects.

I can’t think of any way to achieve it in AE.

Hey Darby, I think the same but had a shot just in case 🙂
I guess I’ll have to manage that in 3D then.
    Thanks for your answer.
