  • How to delete FX from FCP

I suspect this is bone-head simple, but I have tried the following to get rid of unused and corrupted FX folders in FCP interface:
-highlight folder or effect within and select CLEAR from FCP >EDIT>CLEAR (only “clear” or “cut” action I could find in FCP)
-drag folder to… ?? wher?. won’t go to trash
-searched Google and FCP on-line manual – nada

I suspect I need to go into the FX directories and delete there? hints as to where that you be?

    Thanks
    🙂

    Stu,

Your governor probably hid them with all of the missing wardrobe items…

However, you can find them in Macintosh HD>>Library>>Application Support>>Plugins

Be sure to say hi to Gov. Sarah for me…

    😀
Sarah sez: “I can see your FX folder from my Porsche”
    Yeah. Thanks Governor Babe…

    Thanks Dave
Will give her a squeeze for you when we bump into her (surprisingly likely in Alaska!)
