How to Create Transition Like this
In this Screenshot the transition is done by using Christmas elements goes left to right and when candy is going the second video comes with candy.

I’d probably use a keyframes mask to follow the shape so that it wipes the image on, assuming to shapes are spinning. If it’s just the diagonal line that shape is hiding then a linear wipe effect would work there too.
If you’re making the shape yourself, then you could use a layer as an alpha matte and parent it to the shape. That way you only have one set of keyframes to animate and the matte will move with your layer.

I used Linear wipe in the video 1, with wipe angle matching my shape layer set transition 0 to 100% by ending of video 1.
