How to create this bent 3D effect
How would you create this kind of effect, with the depth of the text appearing at both ends, as if it were concave
Is there a way to achieve the result without using 3D tools?

The faces of the letters can be altered using the distort tool. Then make the sides using a drawn mask and textures/gradients.
