  • How to create stinger/invert colour shine effect?

Posted by Axel Bendl on March 22, 2022 at 2:00 am

Hello, I’m new to after effects. I understand how a stinger transition works, and how to create a invert colour effect via videos online. But I’m having a hard time implementing both of them to create this fake shine effect where the colours invert.

This is probably difficult to understand, so I’ve recorded this video of the effect I’m trying to achieve, and what I have to work with.

    Thank you,

Position your white text layer directly beneath the moving bar layer, and set its Track Matte to Alpha Matte. This will use the bar’s shape to display just that portion of the white text layer.
