I have an animation I would like to create of a boat riding on the horizon. The horizon would be one line moving up and down like a wave.

What is the best way to accomplish this effect?

As an extra I am hoping to have the wave (horizon line) cover everything below it. So as the boat rolls on the wave you dont see the bottom of the boat under the horizon line peeking out.

    Any ideas?

    Thank you!

Consider using a solid with the turbulent displace effect.
